Veteran's Benefits

To be eligible for FULL benefits under the Veteran's Administration Bill, undergraduate students must register for 12 or more quarter hours.

Academic Load

The regular full-time student load is 16 credit hours per quarter. A student may register for one or more courses as preferred, depending upon conditions of work and other factors applicable to your situation. Students working full-time (40 hours per week) are advised to register for no more than two classes per week. Other students may carry up to 20 credit hours.

Change of Class Schedule

A student who finds it necessary to add a course, drop a course, or correct their registration secures a change order in the Registration Office. A fee of $ 4.00 is charged for each change order processed after the 14th day of classes.

A course may be added only during the first 14 calendar days of the quarter.

Students may drop any course through the fifth week (defined for the purpose of this policy as the 35th calendar day) of a term. The student need not obtain the instructor's approval. The completed change order must be turned in by the student to the Registration Office by the end of the fifth week. After the end of the fifth week and before the last class of the quarter, a student may petition their dean to drop under special circumstances. Earning a low grade in the course is not to be considered such a circumstance. Petitions will be approved only in extreme cases. In general, only reasons which prohibit you from attending classes for significant periods of time will be considered. Petition forms are available in the Registration Office.

IMPORTANT: Any student unable to complete the quarter should contact the Registration Office at (740) 774-7240 for information. Students who do not follow university policy for withdrawal will automatically receive F's. Any student stopping payment of their check will jeopardize their academic record with the university.

Class Schedule Change: After Original Registration

Students who add a class during the first 14 days of the quarter must obtain the Instructor's signature on an add slip.

Adjustments or Cancellations of Courses

The Admission and Registration Office will make every effort to offer all courses listed in the schedule. The right is reserved, however, to make any adjustments found necessary after registration; or to cancel any course with insufficient enrollment the first day of classes.

Schedule Changes

BE SURE TO CHECK FOR CHANGES IN THE SCHEDULE BEFORE REGISTERING. A list of changes will be available at registration. All students are responsible for being informed about changes that may affect them.
