 Retention and Recruitment News
Winter Quarter Applications:  Through December 28th 248 applications for winter quarter have been received.  This represents a 13% increase over the same date last year when 220 applications had been received. 68% (169) of the applications are in “final” status which enables the students to register for classes.

Winter Quarter Registration:  To date, 147 new students have registered for winter quarter.  About 60 of these students attended the SOAR session on December 16th and were able to accomplish their registration and other aspects of their matriculation at that time.  Total winter registration for new and continuing students is 1606. 

Fall Quarter 2006 Applications:   Fifty six applications received to date represent a forty percent increase over the same date last year.  We are encouraging prospects to apply before March 1st to ensure inclusion in the groups that will be considered for scholarships.  Please visit the OU-C web page for a link to descriptions of those awards.

The Gates Foundation Ross County Scholar’s Fund:  Applications will be taken for these awards until April 15, 2006.  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) results must be on file for consideration.  Please visit www.ohio.edu/gatesscholarship for details.

Academic Council Meetings
Current Meeting minutes from Academic Council.  This includes faculty representation from all academic units of the campus such as Division Coordinators, Program Coordinators, and our Faculty Senator.

Current meeting minutes from Administrative Council.  This includes administrative representation from all facets of the campus - Athletics, Enrollment Services, Continuing Education, Facilities Management, Health and Wellness, Information and Technology Services, Student Affairs, and Student Support.
