The first direction of the
strategic plan is to turn Quinn Library and the associated areas of
Stevenson Center into the acknowledged hub of the academic experience
on the Chillicothe campus. Secondly, as a means to increase the
national prominence of the university, the Library will construct a
special collection on the subject of Religious Tolerance, rivaling the
collections of any university in the United States and including rare
books displayed in climate controlled cases. Third, the Library as
Salon will
host symposia relating to this collection and other topics as it seeks
to serve
as the steward of the intellectual life of the community.
