Volleyball
Open Gyms have started for the Ohio University-Chillicothe volleyball teams with high hopes of another successful season.  Open gyms are held at the Shoemaker Center on Tuesday’s (5:00-7:00 p.m.) and Thursday’s (8:00-9:30 a.m.). Anyone interested in playing volleyball is encouraged to attend. Contact Head Coach Abbey Ott at 703.2752 for more information.

The Volleyball team is looking to host a Sand Volleyball Tournament August 26th in Yoctangee Park. The tournament will be a Men’s 2-on-2 and a Women’s 4-on-4. Contact Abbey Ott for more information or for an entry form.

All-Academic Awards
The Ohio Regional Campus Conference (ORCC) recognized nine Ohio University-Chillicothe student athletes for their outstanding accomplishments in the classroom for Spring Quarter. The members of the women’s fastpitch softball team that were recognized were Courtney Cochenour, Nikkita Carroll, Whitney Diehl, Jessica Perkins, and Laura Kinneer. Dustin England (ORCC Medalist of the Year) and Dwayne Webb, from the golf team, were recognized for the success in the classroom. The baseball team’s Bobby Horney and Hunter Hightower were also honored for their academic achievements. To achieve this award from the ORCC the student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA and complete 12 hours.
