Win a Grill!
A raffle will be held in the CPC
for all staff, faculty, administrators, and student assistants to win a
George Foreman Grill! The winner will be drawn on December 20 and there is a
limit to one entry per employee. The grill was given to Ohio
University-Chillicothe by Pitney Bowes.
Brown Bag Lunch
Dr. Allan Pollchik will lead a
session on “Learning Library Secrets” as part of the brown bag lunch
series. If you are frustrated with the internet and want to learn library
search secrets, you won’t want to miss this! Bring a sack lunch to Room 105
in Bennett Hall on December 20 at Noon.
On
the Road
The Italy Education Abroad Program is on the road! Barbara Trube,
Director, and Margaret McAdams, chaperone, are excited about the Italian
trip (Parma, Bologna, Venice, Florence, and Reggio Emilia). 21 students
have joined Barbara and Margaret for the November 30 to December 10 trip.
Three two-hour orientation sessions were held at the Chillicothe Campus and
“beamed” to Athens, Lancaster, Southern, and Zanesville campuses, through
the OULN system. These sessions helped the students better prepare for
their Italian experience: an overview of what they’ll see and experience
and what they need to bring with them, the art and architecture of the area,
and the pre-school educational system. The students now are more acquainted
with each other and are expectantly packing for the trip. Diane Diekroger,
who is the coordinator of the Italy trip, has been busy answering individual
email questions!
