Health and Wellness

Fitness Classes
Several fun and challenging fitness classes will be offered to Ohio University-Chillicothe students, faculty, staff and local community members beginning in January 2007.  All classes are FREE to Health and Wellness members.  What are you waiting for?

Classes will include:
Cardio Combo
This class is a combination of pilates, kickboxing, arms and abs workout.
Begins Thursday, January 4
Monday's 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Thursday's 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Cardio Wellness
This class offers a variety of different workouts designed to keep the heart pumping.
November 28 through December 26
Tuesday's 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Group Cycling
Enjoy an indoor cycling workout in which the intensity of the workout is at your control. Each workout includes a warm-up, a heart pounding workout and a slow cool down/stretch.
Begins Friday, January 5
Friday's 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Personal Trainer
Take advantage of a personal trainer!  The session will be custom-fit to your goals of fitness.  Training can include muscle gain, increased cardio endurance and more!  Times will be arranged at your convenience over winter break and winter quarter.

Strength and Tone
This is a low impact strength and tone class.  Great for a lunchtime energy boost.
Begins Monday, January 8
Monday's 12:10 to 1:00 p.m.

Yoga
Eclectic blend of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga provides proper alignment to the body & mind, muscle strengthening, increased flexibility and a deepening level of relaxation.
Wednesday's 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Need a Back Massage?
Phyllis Uhrig licensed massage therapist offers back massages locally.  The prices are $30 for 30 minutes and $45 for 60 minutes.  The Health and Wellness Center will take your payment and issue you a receipt of payment, then you can schedule a time for your massage.   More information is available at the Health and Wellness Center or e-mail Carla Comer at comerc@ohio.edu.
